The Freedom of Unity Prinicples

  1. There is only one ultimate power in the Universe. We call this power God and its nature is absolute good and absolute love.
This principle frees us from fear of a God that punishes. It frees us from the fear that there is a Satan who can and will overpower us…if we are not constantly vigilant. It frees us from the belief that any other person has authority over our spirit. This principle offers us the freedom to trust in a benevolent, loving Universe which has only our good in mind.

The personal characteristic of this principle is trust!

  2. Humankind was created from absolute good and our inherent nature is also good. We call our inherent goodness the Christ.

This principle frees us from low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence. It frees us from earlier teachings that told us we were inherently sinful. It frees us to express the Truth of who we are which…like our Creator… is goodness and love. It frees us to trust ourselves.

The personal characteristic of this principle is self-esteem!

  3. Our thoughts and feelings combined have great creative power. Whatever we persistently focus our thoughts and feelings upon, manifests in our lives.

This principle frees us from feelings of victimization by life. It frees us from feelings of blame and powerlessness that keep us from prospering. It frees us to accept responsibility for our lives…so that we have the power to change that which is holding us hostage. It frees us to create the life we dream of.

The personal characteristic of this principle is empowerment!

  4. Prayer and meditation are essential elements of the spiritual life because they keep us awake and aware of our Oneness with God and all creation.

This teaching frees us from feelings of alienation…and isolation from God and other people. Prayer and meditation free us from the mental, emotional and physical cravings and addictions that restrict our freedom. By teaching us to take charge of…and tame our unruly minds…they restore to us the freedom to choose…what and whom we will give our attention to.

The personal characteristic of this principle is inner guidance!

  5. It is not enough to know the Truth; we must put that Truth into action in our lives. We must live the Truth we know.

This principle frees us from inertia and stuck-ness. It frees us from lack of integrity…the pain of the split between what we believe…and how we behave. It frees us to be all that we believe. And it frees us to act on our beliefs.

The personal characteristic of this principle is boldness!
